The Business Centre is a part of Birmingham College and managed by prominent professional individuals in the field of Management, Accountancy, Law, Property and Estate, Higher Education, Commerce and Industry.
The Business Centre is an independent, professional unit specialising in the promotion of business and commercial links between the UK and India. It aims:
- To promote UK-Indian companies, products and projects.
- To create strategic partnerships with business and industry, by providing a range of high quality consultancy and research services.
- To facilitating trade relations and economic co-operation between the UK and Indian economies.
- To forge linkages with Connecticut businesses and industries to integrate and assist in the formation of joint ventures, businesses and Connecticut businesses.
- To provide direction, confidence and skills for business.
- To analyzes economic, business and market trends in the UK and India and makes this information available to organizations such as government departments, corporations and trade bodies.

We utilise our specialist knowledge through a mix of consultancy, training and research for the mutual benefit of organisations based in the UK and India. Our services are often interlinked and can be tailored to suit individual needs.

Developing professional training programmes and seminars in the UK and India, we aims to become a leading centre of excellence in business studies and training centre. The Centre is in process to develop management development programmes for senior managers and government officials from both countries that introduce to European delegates Indian economic and social systems, methods and useful experiences in managing businesses and industries, increase delegates' understanding and knowledge of markets in India, its cultures and traditions, establish business links with Indian companies and organisations and develop skills in developing and implementing strategies.
The training programmes include field visits, summer school programmes, workshops, formal and informal courses and seminar and conferences and; bespoke in-house training programmes.
The target participants include senior business people and government officials and students studying management programmes.
If one of our standard courses does not meet your needs in full then we should still be able to help you. Having the expertise of a large number of specialists, we can construct customised training to meet your specific needs. The Centre will design a program that fits your constraints in timing, cost, curriculum/ credit requirements, site preferences, and learning styles of your students. We can draw upon extensive academic and real-world resources in Britain to give your students a formative experience with international business in Britain that will enhance their careers and their satisfaction with studying in your business program.
Britain Business Field Study can be a free-standing program, or a component of a larger regional, comparative program on business. Programs can range from several days to several weeks. We can arrange high-end or more modest accommodations depending on you university's budget for field study. Our programs include dialogue sessions with leading experts, business executives, financial journalists and government officials. We can arrange on-site visits to corporate and government offices as well as production and marketing facilities of a wide range of enterprises. Your students will receive first-hand accounts of the business environment in Britain, reflections by "Britain hands" about winning and losing business strategies, and informed analysis from the leading researchers of business developments in Britain. Schedules typically include panel discussions, on-site visits, luncheons, private tours, dining, and recreational and cultural activities.
Field studies in Britain can be crafted for the executive MBA, the regular MBA or for undergraduate programs in management studies.
- The Centre is part of Birmingham College which has the reputation, experience and facilities to organise high quality courses that are customised to individual requirements. In past we have developed the Advanced Training Programme in Education Leadership Management for Indian Principals, Lecturers, Academics, Executive Business Management Programme for Indian Business Community.
