This professional platform aims to facilitating relations and co-operation between business and academic institutes based in China and The UK. The Platform is part of Birmingham College and managed by prominent professional individuals from both countries.
It aims :
- To forge linkages with China-UK businesses and industries, to integrate and assist in the formation of joint ventures, development of outsourcing and off-shore opportunities.
- To set up business, trade and virtual links and contacts between two countries.
- To provide a forum for increasing awareness of opportunities, for China-UK related business, through publications, meetings, events, sponsorship of trade delegations and presentations on subjects of interest.
- To encourage and facilitate networking events and opportunities amongst Chinese and British businesses.
- To create strategic partnerships with business and industry, by providing a range of high-quality consultancy and research services.
- To facilitate trade relations and economic co-operation between the UK and China economies.

The China-UK Platform is an integral initiative of Birmingham College, which enjoy international reputation, experience and facilities, to organise high-quality courses that are customised to individual requirements. In the past, we have developed the Advanced Training Programme in Education Leadership Management for Indian Principals, Lecturers, Academics and Executive Business Management Programme for Indian Business Community.

Developing professional training programmes and seminars in the UK and China, we aim to become a leading Centre-of-Excellence in business management studies and training.
The Centre is in the process of developing bite-size management development programmes for senior managers and government officials from both countries
The training programmes include field visits, summer school programmes, workshops, formal and informal courses and seminars, conferences and; bespoke in-house training programmes.

To develop this programme, Birmingham College is working with two prestigious Chinese partners. The programme draws on the senior faculty, complemented by key industry leaders and government officials.
