Business English Course English is widely accepted as the international language of business. English is also ‘the’ international language - 85 percent of the Internet is in English, three-quarters of the world's mail is written in English, and it is the official language of the Olympic Games. In fact, the World Trade Organization debriefs, meets, and publicizes in English even if the representatives are from countries where English is not the native language. Top executives, managers, CEOs, and other business professionals, from a variety of corporate backgrounds, require these unique skills. English is global. In these classes, students will learn and discuss key concepts and issues relating to key business activities.
Through simulations and role-playing activities, students will practice oral English language skills for participating in meetings, leading discussions, conducting negotiations and making effective presentations. Students will also learn writing skills for business letters, faxes and memos
Some time is devoted to field trips and/or talks by guest speakers. Students are also given tasks to complete independently, such as going to local businesses and interviewing managers, working on group projects with classmates, or conducting research for presentations or discussions.
Birmingham College will provide local native speakers with a minimum of 5 years experience in teaching at university level and/or business and industry.
Birmingham College will provide all resources including course materials, presentations, CDs, DVDs, Audio & Video tapes, books, journals, and/or magazines that may be required to deliver the course

The course is delivered full-time and each course requires a minimum of 20 hours classroom teaching, one-to-one tutorial support and 40 hours of self-directed study

The College will offer guaranteed accommodation at an affordable cost. The College will also provide support for participants wishing to organize their own accommodation, providing lists of suitable hotels, hostels and bed and breakfast facilities.
After completion overseas students must return to their home university/institute/country.
Students who wish to join Staffordshire University’s PG Diploma/MBA programmes will be assessed by staff from Birmingham College/Staffordshire University after completion of the programme
Students do not require taking IELTS to enrol on PG Diploma/MBA course if the required level of English is met.
Birmingham College will award the ‘Executive Certificate in Business English’ to students upon successful completion of the course. This will take place through a special ceremony
