Education & Background

Born and brought up in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, Dr. Kodwani had school and college education in Ahmedabad. After acquiring B Com and MBA (Finance) from Gujarat University, he went to work as Research and Teaching assistant at Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad for 4 1/2 years.

Subsequently after working as lecturer at B K School of Business Management, Gujarat University, he went for Doctorate degree in Business Management at Manchester Business School, University of Manchester, UK.

His doctoral thesis was on privatization and regulation of utility industries in England and Wales, particularly focussing on 'Measurement of Efficiency in Water and Electricity Supply Industries' which were privatized there in 1989-90.
