This module combines the bases of Human resource management, including effective people management policies and techniques
Managing Through Information - 15 CATS
This module focuses on the needs and requirements of management for accounting and other quantitative information and its use to promote effective management

This module explores the effects of the external business environment on the performance and functions of the business, particularly the marketing function

This module provides a general grounding in the tools and processes of strategic analysis, evaluation, selection and implementation

This module covers key issues related to the management of business risk under uncertainty.
Operations Management - 15 CATS
This module develops a variety of management themes then focuses on operations management through to the ultimate delivery of products and services to consumers

The module extends strategic thinking into the global economy, allowing an in depth analysis of corporate strategy in a global context
Dissertation Stage
Business Research Methods 15 CATS (this module runs throughout the taught elements of the award)

Dissertation 45 CATS
This module develops broad knowledge of business research principles to provide a systematic understanding of an award appropriate topic. The dissertation must have a strategic and integrative focus
The course is assessed internally through a variety of assignments linked to each module, individual and group presentations. Participants will be assessed on a continuous basis.
Tutorial support is available throughout the course duration by local distinguished professors / senior lecturers. The support available by phone, emails or face to face meeting.
Candidates applying for admission onto the franchised Staffordshire University Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration will normally be expected to have
- A UK-equivalent 2.2 Hons degree (or equivalent) in any subject discipline;
- Evidence of satisfactory English language skills is required for candidates where English is not their first language, such as IELTS 6.0 or above (which should include a minimum score of 5.5 for the writing and listening modules) or TOEFL 550 or above. A booster Pre-course English language session is available;
- An overall assessment of an applicants' educational background, experience and potential to benefit from the scheme will be made when considering the suitability of a candidate for our Postgraduate Business programmes. The School aims to achieve a mix of student backgrounds which will enhance the learning experience for all. Whilst it is no longer necessary for applicants to have a minimum of two years career history, appropriate experience will be beneficial in support of their application
Candidates without the above but with significant appropriate experience may be admitted to the award, providing they can satisfy the University as to their capacity to respond to the challenge of a postgraduate award.
Candidates may be admitted to the award with Advanced Standing on the basis of exemptions from previous studies, or postgraduate credits acquired from similar awards whether at Staffordshire University or from other HE institutions (e.g. Open University). The students should contact the Birmingham College award administrator directly when they have any queries regarding these but the decision concerning these rests with Staffordshire University
The fee for the course is £9875. Affordable payment plan or discounted one-off fee option is available.
£1,000 Scholarship is available to you if you are an international student enrolling for the first time on a full-time Staffordshire University’s MBA programme. Your application will automatically be assessed for eligibility when you apply, and you will be notified of success when you receive an unconditional offer letter. The scholarship is deducted from tuition fees at enrolment.
£300 Early Payment Discount is available if you pay your total annual tuition fees before or at enrolment each year.
