Birmingham College strongly advises applicants/ you to use only fully authorised agents (appointed representatives) in making application to study at Birmingham College or applying for a visa on the visa letter issued by the College. You should know that unauthorised agents are more likely to create problems, and charge excessive fees, rather than positively helping applicants. The College therefore advises all applicants to carefully read our homepage, and contact Birmingham College or the local British Embassy /High Commission if any doubt.
At the time of registration in Birmingham, the College will ask all students to fill in a questionnaire seeking their opinions about the support and services they received from our appointed representatives. Appointed representatives are aware of the quality of support and services they are obliged to provide to all applicants.
The College will take appropriate actions against any appointed representative who has charged applicants more than the normal fees (no more than 10% of the total fees) and has failed to provide applicants with the required information and services. The actions may include the suspension of their agreement with the College, and written statements to the local British Embassy/High Commission, and the UKBA, detailing their reported practices.
