Taking part in Birmingham College’s China placement programme was a unique opportunity to experience the real China, free from the usual tourist packages. Instead, I was able to interact with the local community and their customs which made the experience rewarding, eye-opening and extremely enjoyable! Throughout my time in China I sampled many traditional and speciality dishes and I was able to visit many local cultural attractions, all of which enabled me to see authentic Chinese culture and traditions. I would highly recommend the programme to anyone wishing to travel and explore new traditions
